Howdy, beloved backers!
I hope you’re having a terrific October so far.
As Dan and I have expressed before, the spooky season is our favorite time of the year. And although we’re doing our best to enjoy it this time around, it unfortunately comes after 16 months of various professional and personal setbacks, not the least of which was the unexpected death of our beloved fur baby, Ruby Azazel, last month – just a few weeks shy of her 15th birthday.
A feisty tabby who only seemed to tolerate her mama and papa, Ruby inspired us and our work in countless ways – and we both miss her terribly.
But, alas, life must go on without her. So, please rest assured that, despite many obstacles, we have not forgotten you – or the rewards we may still owe you. We both feel awful and ashamed about our extreme lateness with the final two deliverables: the ebook version of The Little Big Easy Guide and the three-in-one paperback (which will combine the printed versions of our three ebooks – The Dark Side of New Orleans, NOLA Lingo, and The Little Big Easy Guide – in one handy collectible).
Unfortunately, we’re still working on both, and while we don’t have a precise delivery date, we will definitely keep you updated on our progress.
In the meantime, we thank you for your interest and patience – and we hope you enjoy the rest of October, particularly Halloween!

I hope you’re having a terrific week (and month) so far.
I’m just checking in to let you know that Dan and I are almost done with the ebook version of The Little Big Easy Guide – the last digital piece of this long-overdue Kickstarter project. Once it’s finished, we’ll finally be able to order the paperbacks (each of which will combine the printed versions of our three ebooks – The Dark Side of New Orleans, NOLA Lingo, and The Little Big Easy Guide – into one handy collectible). Woohoo!

I hope you’re having a terrific week so far.
I’m delighted to report that Dan and I recently recorded our author-commentary tracks for the two audio tours: In the Footsteps of Ghosts and Strolling Among Vampires. And I must admit, we had a blast reminiscing about the decade we lived in the New Orleans French Quarter. So, we really hope you enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at one of our all-time favorite neighborhoods.

Whether you’re celebrating the Carnival season or not, I hope you’re having a wonderful time!
As for our Kickstarter project, I’m delighted to report that Dan and I have FINALLY finished The Dark Side of New Orleans ebook. About time, huh?!
Needless to say, I’m embarrassed that it took us so long to complete this particular reward, but as I often say to alleviate my work-related anxiety, LATE is always better than NEVER!
